About the Practitioner

Lee Ann Polonus, LMT (GA #MT008881, SC #8502, PA #MSG002012)
I studied at the Ariel Center for the Healing Arts, Newtown, PA, graduating in 1994 and again at the Savannah School of Massage Therapy, graduating in December 2012.

I have studied the following modalities:  Classical Therapeutic Massage, Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Pregnancy Massage, Myofascial Release, Facilitated Stretch, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Foundations of Thai Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy, Tui Na and Lomi Lomi.   I have been an active member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals since 1994.

I relocated to Savannah, GA from Philadelphia, PA in April 2012  to be near my family.  While leaving many good things behind in Philadelphia, I am very excited about my massage practice here in Savannah!

I am in my 27th year of being a Massage Therapist.  I love what I do!  It is relevant to helping the world be a better place, one nurturing session at a time..

In my spare time I practice Bikram Yoga.   It is a 90-minute moving meditation, done in a heated room consisting of 26 Hatha yoga poses (done twice) and two breathing exercises.  It keeps me energized, relaxed and calm.  The discipline of this practice has made my life so much better in every way!  Other forms of body movement I like to practice include Forrest Yoga, which is a very deliberate, breath-centered, slow-moving, very effective practice.  Breath and movement are the keys to maintaining good posture, helping to keep the body, mind and spirit in proper alignment!   I hope to be practicing for many years to come!

I love what I do for a living and never take the power of touch for granted!
